Caregiver burnout is caused by too much long-term stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed and can’t meet constant demands. As the stress continues, you lose the interest or motivation that led you to take on a certain role.
Your emotional and psychological health can affect your physical health. Many caregivers don’t take time to care for themselves, and they begin to show signs of caregiver burnout.
